I love your writing and the information in your links. Your work, which is provided for free, is appreciated by many people I'm sure and I look forward to reading it on Friday morning. Part of my routine now.
I thought the Atlantic article about the anus belonged in the "Most Wonderous" category as well, but that's just me.
I love your writings, and anticipate reading them every weekend with delight. Yet I expected more from you here, Bob. As someone who hopes he is a thoughtful moderate with strong progressive leanings, I quite agree that motivated reasoning is not limited to conservatives.
But this "Better Letter" is not really any better than a complaint, a "neener, neener", "you do it too" rant that does very little, almost nothing, to indicate us towards a path that may move us beyond motivated reasoning.
Based on what I've seen in the past here, I was truly expecting more thoughtful guidance and ideas. Disappointed that I didn't find it.
